This is an original Japanese poster printed in 1968 for the first release of Bullitt.
The design of the poster is one of the best for the film with artwork unique to Japan.
This almost 5′ tall STB poster features fantastic artwork. The tatekan STB format had much lower print numbers compared to regular Japanese B2s. They are very rare, especially for more popular film titles, and are highly sought after by collectors today.
Bullitt is regarded as of Steve McQueen`s best films (out of many!). The film combines a dazzling array of corrupt police, sex appeal, muscle cars in downtown San Fran. In 2011, Time Magazine ranked the film in it`s "15 Greatest Movie Car Chases of All Time".
The Japanese STB Tatekan (2-panel) poster has an nearly life size image of Steve Mcqueen looking super cool - it is ultra rare with only a few selling over the past few years.
This poster is in excellent condition for it`s age, however please refer to the imagery provided as there is some slight edge wear / fold lines. This poster will display fantastically once framed.
