This is an incredibly rare Japanese poster, we believe it has never sold in any of the large auctions in the West. The poster is in almost mint condition, it has never been folded, it has no tears or pinholes. The colors are extremely vibrant and artwork, unique to this poster. This poster has not been restored, it is in its original and fantastic state.
Disney invested a colossal $1.5m USD and three years of hard work, with 570 extremely talented artists to produce this animation masterpiece.
It was more than worth it though, the film ended up earning $8.5m USD even during the Great Depression! This secured Disney`s future and paved the way for the many classic films to follow.
This almost 5′ tall STB poster features breathtaking artwork from the super famous movie. The tatekan STB format had much lower print numbers compared to regular Japanese B2s. They are very rare, especially for more popular film titles, and are highly sought after by collectors today.
